The 7 Ages of Man

For my project, I created a short video showing the seven ages of man that Shakespeare wrote about in his play "As you Like it." In this play there is a very famous saying by the character Jaques about how "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women are merely players." The first stage is the little infant who is crying and throwing up in my animation. Then there is the schoolboy who is upset because would rather not go to school and stay home. The third stage is the lover who is shown with hearts by his head. Another stage is the soldier who has a beard and is shown wearing his uniform. Then there is the justice who is shown in a black and grey uniform with his white beard. Although in the speech Shakespeare may not have actually meant a soldier or a judge, I showed a soldier and someone I designed as a justice so that someone who didn't understand the speech could get the idea of the passage. Finally, the old man fades into nothing because of the last line; "Last scene of all, that ends this strange, eventful history, is second childishness, and mere oblivion, sans teeth, sans eyes, sans everything.
