What is cyberbullying?
cyberbullying is bullying or harassing someone online.
The story I want to share
In my story, I was the:
It happened on...
Online, in survivor's home
Here's what happened
The survivor was being harassed online by a bully. This started effecting her mental and emotional state. She was slowly changing. Her parent started to notice something was wrong but they would not speak to anyone about it. After a while, it started getting severe and she was not acting like herself anyore. She was depressed and it was completely taking over her life. The parent was getting impatient because she knew it was really bothering her kid. It took some time for the kid to open up but when she did she felt somewhat better. She got some advice and help to get the problem to stop.
3 things I want you to know
talking to someone, anyone, can make it easier
there are many things you can do to stop this
don't let everything stop because of this
What can you do?
Talk to someone. Let people you trust know that something is going on. Talking to teachers or principals are also helpful. There is always a block button.
Jerry the Giraffe
don't believe everything people tell you.
share your story without being judged
it's okay to cry
What I want adults to know
@parents, not all kids are comfortable sharing. Sometimes they feel like they do not need help or suggestions.
@teachers, kids can have problems they do not want to say out loud
