What is cyberbullying?
Needs to stop
My definition of cyber bullying is bullying, but from a device like a phone, tablet, computer etc. Often it is more than one person in on the bullying and it isn't always easy to find out who it is. In some cases the bully makes a fake profile so they can remain anonymous. The bully can get really bad charges, such as harassment and in some cases black-mail. Cyberbullying can lead to a lot of things that shoudn't happen and aren't necessary.
The story I want to share
In my story, I was the:
It happened at...
Here's what happened
A girl in my class was getting teased and laughed at because she got caught in a lie and she tried to fix it with more lies but it only got worse.
3 things I want you to know
Don't just stand and watch.
Not everything is as it seems.
What can you do?
You can simply be confident, stick up for yourself and protect yourself. Self love is a big thing and you should always talk to someone you trust.
Jerry the Giraffe
Find a space you actually feel safe in.
Communicate, because in a lot of cases communication is key.
Don't feel like you're the only one because most of the time there's someone else that understands.
What I want adults to know
@parents, Pay close attention to your kids and don't be too fast to jump in, but you should always know when you need to.
@teachers,Don't get caught up in the unnecessary jokes in your class because a lot of the real problems are the ones you don't see.
