A man claims to have found proof of Bigfoot
In what may be the most compelling evidence yet, Bigfoot enthusiast Todd May says he has found a skull of the mysterious creature.
Mr May was on a walk near to his home in Washington when he stumbled upon a rock weighing nearly five and a half stones, which is thought could be a fossilised skull.
Mr May, who already claims to have met a Bigfoot twice, concluded the 34kg (75 pounds) formation belonged to either Bigfoot of one of its ancestors.
Mr May admitted there was bound to be doubters about his discovery, but he puts this down to jealousy.
Is this the skull of Bigfoot?
He said: “The first time I saw one I was startled, it looked like an ape from the zoo.
“I would go out there often and find things, fossils, rock.
“I looked around for about half an hour, then I saw it.
Bigfoot has so far been elusive
“There’s haters out there, other Bigfoot enthusiasts that don’t like that I found something first.”
However, others are skeptical about the idea, with Midwestern State University Assistant Geoscience Professor Jesse Carlucci stating that it is nothing more than a rock after having seen the object.
He said: “Often, the natural fractures or joints in the rock are sites of increased weathering, where you have these types of depressions form. It's not Bigfoot!”
He added that if it were a skull, it would be a lot more fragile.
